UNIFORM AND BOOKS

Getting Your Child Ready for Their Scout Investiture

Before your child can be officially Invested into their Scout Unit, there are a few essential items they’ll need.

Scout Uniform & Essentials

Head over to the Scout Shop to purchase:

 Polo Shirt (based on their Unit):

•             Joeys: Red sleeves

•             Cubs: Yellow sleeves

•             Scouts: Green sleeves

•             Venturers: Maroon sleeves

Wear this as soon as possible! However, they can continue wearing their previous unit’s shirt until they are invested.

Woggle: Brown leather woggle

Books for the New Youth Program (nYP):

•             1 x Section Record Book – Choose the one for your child’s current section (e.g., "Record Book - Cub Section" for Cubs).

•             1 x Outdoor Adventure Skills (OAS) Book – This book covers all scouting levels from Joeys to Rovers.

When registering on ScoutHub you can indicate whether you’ve purchased the uniform and books - this helps leaders keep track!

2nd Turramurra Scout Scarf

•             Each youth member receives a free 2nd Turramurra scarf at their Investiture Ceremony (typically after 6 weeks and completing their "Introduction to Scouts" and "Introduction to Section" badges).

•             Parents are encouraged to attend this special event!

•             Lost your scarf? A replacement can be purchased at cost price.

Badges

•             Lost badges can be replaced at cost price. Tip: Sew them onto the uniform as soon as possible to prevent loss!
