What is needed before your child can be INVESTED into their Scout Unit

Note: These are needed before they can be Invested into their Scout Unit (section).

Go to the SCOUTSHOP: scoutshop.com.au  to buy for your child:

  • a POLO Shirt (UNITS: Joey, Cub (yellow), Scout (green) or Venturer colour sleeves) - Wear this as soon as you have it but you can continue to wear your eg Cub Shirt in Scouts etc until you buy the Scout Shirt (Green)
  • a WOGGLE: the brown leather woggle.
  • The new Youth Program (nYP) Books: Youth need to purchase a Section Record Book for their Unit (section)

                    1  x Record Book - Joey/Cub/Scout/Venturer Section   eg: For Cubs, buy the "Record Book -Cub Section"

                     1 x Outdoor Adventure Skills (OAS) book  - (this is 1 book that covers them for all their Scouting Units from Joeys through to Rovers.

           When REGISTERING your child on Scouthub, you can indicate if you have purchased Books & Uniform. This helps leaders know you have them.

 

NOTES:

* The initially supplied 2nd Turramurra Scarf is free and is presented to Youth during their INVESTITURE Ceremony after attending for about 6 weeks and the completion of their "Intoduction to Scouts" - done once and "Introduction to Section" badges..             - Parents are encouraged to attend these important ceremonies.

* If a scarf is lost, it can be replaced for cost price (as at March 2024 = $23).

* Lost badges can be replaced at Cost Price. ( Hint: Sew them onto your uniform immediately! )

* Badges are ordered by Unit (Section) Leaders from scoutshop.com.au .

* Your 2nd Turramurra Group Fee component go towards these expenses.

LEADERS: How to order SCARVES & BADGES

* Unit (Section) Leaders order Badges from scoutshop.com.au .

* 2nd Turramurra Scarves are ordered from the PORT KEMBLA (NSW) Scout Shop: https://www.sctscouts.org.au/shop/   They hand make them so it can take time to get them!. They had charged $12 per scarf. - Note: There is currently a 6 month delay to to the health of the lady that makes them (as at March 2024) --> see Alternate supplier below.

Order Details: Youth Scarf - Bottle Green with 2 x12mm Red edges. Adult Scarf - (larger size) - same colours

An alternative is to order them from the SCOUT SHOP (Melbourne).
